D20 Gaming Dice Set provides a set of dice compatible with most dice based games. The application provides 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, and 100 sided dice. It will let you roll any number of dice at a time. For example, if you needed to roll 4D6 (4 6-sided dice), you would choose 4 as the quantity, and D6 as the dice type, then hit roll. It will then show you the total of all dice rolled, as well as the individual numbers rolled on each dice. The application also supports dice rolling sound that can be turned off for silent rolling.

The PRO version of the application supports everything above, plus the ability to roll multiple sets of dice at a time. For example, 3D6 + 2D8 - 3. The interface provides a quick and easy way to dial-in the exact roll you wish to perform. Whether you are rolling 25D20 for fireball damage, or play with a DM who is always making you make strange rolls D20 Gaming Dice Set Pro has what you need.
This application replaces the need of carrying a collection of various dice to all of your gaming sessions.

***Next Version***
Version 1.2 of the App has been submitted to the App Store as of 7/30/08. It adds optional sound effects, and a much better random number generator that entirely fixes the issues mentioned in the feedback. Rolls are now entirely random each and every time the app is launched.

*** D20 Gaming Dice Set Pro ***
D20 Gaming Dice Set Pro has also been uploaded at a slightly higher price point that will allow for things like 3D8 + 2D6 - 2. The pro version of the application will have support in future versions for dropping dice, re-rolling certain dice, and the ability to add and save rolls that you do often so you can quickly roll dice configurations for whatever your favorite game requires.

Pros and cons of D20 Gaming Dice Set app for iPhone and iPad

D20 Gaming Dice Set app good for

This program lets you not only choose the number of dice to be rolled (good for say Fireballs) and shows you the individual dice outcomes. To one-star a good program (that Im assuming you dont even own) just because a cheaper and inferior version exists is pathetic.
The price is right on this little app. Roll any of the standard-size dice in any reasonable quantity, and see both the individual rolls plus the total. Thats all it needs to do, and it does it just fine.
Why does the downloaded app look completely different from the screenshot? I got a version with two of those rolling menus with quantity on one side and die type on the other. Its nice and all, but I kind of like the idea of punching buttons instead of spinning the rollers.
At first I was disappointed that it didnt match the screen shot but then I read the other reviews explaining that the upcoming version will match the picture. I do like the look of dice bag better but showing the individual dice as well as the total and the ability to roll multiples of any die will give this app the edge in the end (as soon as the new version comes out and matches the picture).
I gave Dice Bag a try and I have to say, this is worth the dollar based on the fact you can have a custom amount of dice. However, only nine of them? It would be nice to have at least twice that for epic rolls, but this is a great app nonetheless.
I really like this app but would like to see version 1.1 posted. Any ideas of what is happening there?

Some bad moments

So this app works! I want my money back. I will not support a company making money by missingormation. Get dice bag the are not trying to take advantage of the consumer.
The app works, but not "as advertised." The screen shots show tapping the number of dice and then a picture representation of them, but thats not the way the app works at all. Instead you get two "dials" (iPhone drop-down box selection), one for the number of dice and the second for the type. Its a lot slower this way, and lazier development too - there arent even graphical representations of the dice! Its better than Dice Bag in that you can roll multiples of the same die, but also slower and less polished.
There are no graphics, it just generates the number from a supposed dice roll. No animation, no graphics. Not even worth $0.99.
Every time you open this app, roll 1 die or hit percentile - its always the same. 1d4=4, 1d6=2, 1d8=8...percentiles is always this order: 84, 87, 78, 16. Sure, you can "pre-roll" your way through to where you dont remember what is coming up, but its hardly what you would expect. How about introducing random numbers in the update?
